CommitMonitor

Developer Stefan Kung has lots of useful tools to offer, like BowPad, a text editor that features syntax highlighting for over 100 file types and languages, grepWin, a search tool that integrates with Windows Explorer, DemoHelper, a tool that you can use during presentations to draw on the screen, and CommitMonitor, a tool that you can use to monitor and check Apache Subversion repositories for new commits.

CommitMonitor is available as an installer and as a portable version for 32-bit and for 64-bit versions of Microsoft’s Windows operating system. Please note that you cannot use CommitMonitor on a PC that runs the Windows XP operating system. You’ll need Vista or newer to use CommitMonitor. If you’re still on the quite old XP operating system, perhaps you’ll see this as a sign that it’s time to upgrade.

At the top on CommitMonitor’s interface there’s a toolbar with buttons to add a new project, check for commits, access the Options menu, and more. All the projects you add will be listed on the left hand side. Select a project and more info about it will be displayed on the right hand side.

Who should get CommitMonitor? Anyone who needs an efficient tool to monitor Apache Subversion repositories for new commits. CommitMonitor can monitor multiple repositories, it can perform on-demand checks, it can check for new commits during a certain time interval, it can bring up a popup window to notify you about new commits, it plays nice with TortoiseSVN, it registers itself with Snarl, and more.

CommitMonitor is freeware. It must be mentioned here that all of Stefan Kung’s applications are freeware.
